“One Run made me realise just how powerful a group of positive people can be, and how positive energy is really and truly contagious.”

Tracy Wall, Stage #188 Missouri

Danny set up and founded One Run For Boston, a 3328.2 mile relay run across the US, that raised $550,000 for those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

Within 7 weeks of the blasts a community of 2000+ people set of carrying a baton non stop from LA to Boston. With 100m to go the one thousand runners that participated in the last stage passed the baton to the survivors of the blasts who carried the baton over the Boston Marathon finish line.

This was an event that took a nation by storm. Every news agency covered the story and it received front page news in National Press.

As a result Danny was honoured by the Mayor and City of Boston and the BAA (Boston Athletic Association). He was also voted as Runners World’s ‘Heroes of Running’ in 2013.
